Interview Questions
1. Tell me about yourself.
I am a very hard working person that is able to adapt to fit any position that is needed to fill. I work great alone and just as good with others. I have work experience with media management, customer service and website building as well as volunteer experience with a variety of organizations. I am an excellent student, leader and listener. I love to sail, train my horses and take pictures.
2. What are your plans after graduation?
After I graduate I plan on going to college to complete my basic required courses and continue onto a path that allows me to acquire the proper knowledge and education to be able to operate on people in need. I want to become a surgeon.
3. What one thing do you need to improve on?
One thing I need to improve on is delegating responsibilities when working together in a group. I like being a leader and taking charge of a project. I have been working on this by participating in more group activities, having an open mind, and being a 'freshmen mentor' at my local high school.
4. What are your weaknesses? Strengths?
My weakness is that I used to prefer working on one project at a time, but now I can work on multiple things and produce high quality work. . My strengths include my ability to be flexible and adaptable. I can work things alone or with a group of people. When I don't understand something, I ask clarifying questions. I have good leadership skills, work ethic and I can handle a lot of stress. I also can complete complicated tasks.
5. What qualities make you the right applicant for the job?
I am right for the job because I am adaptable and flexible with where I am positioned. I work both alone and with a team. I have a good work ethic and I can handle a lot of stress. I am CPR Certified and have many years of sailing experience.
6. What does it mean to work as part of a team?
To work as apart of a team means to work together as efficiently as possible to complete the task. Working as a team does not necessary mean doing a job or position that you want to, but be where you will be the most useful, and where the rest of the team needs you.
7. What motivates you to tackle and complete a task?
Emotional and physical rewards motivate me to complete a task. It is psychologically fulfilling for me to complete something that I am very invested in, especially if it involves me helping others. I love taking on something that is challenging and keeps me busy.
8. How do you handle stress?
I handle stress very well. As a student who is serious about h er education, I take advanced courses to challenge myself. This includes Honors/A.T classes, A.P classes, Advanced math courses as well as many years of Spanish Class. Balancing these classes with my extracurricular activities is both difficult and stressful yet I manage to do all of them.
9. What do you think is the number one problem facing people your age? What do you think should be done about this problem?
The number one problem people my age are facing is succumbing to pier pressure. Because young adults feel the need to conform, they will do anything, good or not to fit in. This can be anything from bullying to doing drugs. I think that we as a society need to be more accepting and improve our morals.
